Jennie Wilde

founder and managing director

Jennie excels at creating thematic marketing and PR campaigns, with a talent for distilling complex topics into compelling content. She is a high-energy problem solver, with a passion for making a difference.

Starting as a newspaper journalist and sub-editor, she moved into news & current affairs for independent TV. The UK government then commissioned her to promote British expertise.

She was head-hunted by global PR consultancy Burson‐Marsteller for its FMCG brands, using that expertise to set up Carver Wilde Communications.

Her business model changed after surviving cancer and experiencing first-hand the value of clinical science. Jennie survived thanks to an unknown laboratory scientist at London’s St Thomas’s Hospital. He found and identified a second primary tumour after initial surgery - and saved her life. As a thank-you, she now supports the unsung scientists in clinical research and labatory testing.

Jennie has formal marketing training and is a member of the Public Relations & Communications Association (PRCA) and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR). Apart from theatre, films & ballet, her other passion is all things wood. Her Victorian cottage is a haven of wood flooring and antique furniture - and any free time is spent on repairs and restoration.

Sarah works tirelessly behind the scenes as an organiser and trouble-shooter. You can see her work from the Media Monitor to Google Analytics reporting. Sarah matches enthusiasm with insistence on working with a meticulous plan. A country girl at heart, and an environmentalist who is currently creating new woodland. She lives on a farm, loves dogs and is proud to say she was the first female club champion at her golf club.

A medical scientist by profession, this highly skilled writer advises Carver Wilde on all aspects of diagnostics content to ensure scientific accuracy. He is a skilled diplomat when meeting clients, enjoys good wine and conversation and lives the life of a country gentleman when he is not working out the right scentific angle for an article.

Calm, talented and eclectic, Douglas brings a more rounded approach than is usual with web developers. For a start, he is a great communicator - making life a whole load easier when briefing clients!

Douglas has an international portfolio of work to his credit. But whatever the project - from art directing to hands-one coding - he takes it all in his stride. It’s always about what works best for the client. He’s the lead on recent innovations on our US government-funded online engineering wood resource. US-born, Douglas is a hands-on father and dog lover.

Ilona has creative flair and a very effervescent, warm hearted personality. Great fun to work with. She has over 17 years creative marketing experience spanning above-the-line, digital, and DM, both agency and in-house, from designer, art director to branding specialist.

She loves the challenge of taking a complex idea, article or piece of information and distilling it into a beautiful looking brand, infographic, advert, website or layout. Clients trust her to work across advertising, graphic design or branding work including direct mailers, advertorials and digital design.

As a member of a leading standards organisation, we have access to experts on all things relating to construction standards. In these challenging post-Brexit times we have to keep a watching brief on any changes that might indicate that UK and EU standards are no longer in alignment. Currently, they do align. We have developed an impressive online resource around the performance of engineered wood products - accurately advising architects,specifiers and builders which standards they must comply with. Our experts help to keep this on track.
